SWANA Gold Rush Chapter Meeting & FleetGuide Presentation
Due to the need of several folks to leave early in order to make other commitments, we'd like to start at 9:30 AM this way we hope to conclude our official business by 11:30 and let those folks get on their way while the rest of us have lunch and the hear the presentation from our guest speaker, Wil Selby.
Wil will be discussing some new innovations in collection vehicle safety systems.
FleetGuide is the first LIDAR-based aftermarket safety system which provides autonomous vehicle grade algorithms to waste management vehicles. Unlike traditional camera-based safety systems, the LIDAR-based solution is able to understand the exact location of the vehicle and the obstacles around the vehicle by generating high definition, 360 3-D images. The product improves the driver's situational awareness and provides managers an aggregate view of their fleet's performance to support daily operations, training, and incident liability claims. An example of one of the features, a 360 backup cam, is available for viewing here. The product is currently deployed on fleets in the San Francisco Bay area with plans to launch pilots in additional cities across the U.S. this year. For more information, visit www.fleetguide.io.
A buffet lunch will include grilled tri-tip, teriyaki chicken, rice, seasonal vegetables, salad, ranch-style beans bread, coffee, tea, and soda and dessert.
Please r.s.v.p. by Monday, July 23rd at noon.
